    Hi all,

Can anyone give me some pointers on a hanging throttle? Carbs have been professionally (?) Rebuilt, sync is pretty spot on and primaries are leaned out as far as I can take them 1 3/4 turns. Starts popping and stalling under that. New coils leads and plugs. Have I just missed something obvious?

Hi Dale, certainly not my area of expertise but I have heard tell that all rebuild kits are not equal and some have wrong parts in them..?
Are the inlet rubbers sealing as they should, are you using std Airbox etc…?

    Cheers Glenn

    Thanks Glenn,

All new inlet rubbers, and the like. Standard airbox, all new stuff. Might have to redo the cards.

    Cheers Dale.

I find old or misrouted throttle cables can often cause the thottle to almost stick or hang ?

I’ve found that if they are too lean on the airscrews (and carb sync isn’t pretty right) they hang. Maybe look at 2 to 2 1/2 turns out and prepare to go a bit more. My CBX has the same type of carbs and it’ll do the same. Four are easier than six, but it still took a bit of trial and error to get it snapping back.
