Temp gauge cable – help needed

Anyone else got their engine out of the frame? Or got a one with the engine covers off?

I’ve bloody well lost my oil temp gauge cable and could do with a photo of both ends as well as some idea as to the routing. Can anyone help?

For ID purposes its part number 9 on the parts pic below
