October 25, 2011 at 12:41 pm #10041 GeoffHMember Hi all, the rb that just sold on ebay is back on now being sold by a dealer with a price tag off nearly £11,000!! not bad when you think i sold this bike only 6 months ago for £4750 ish. !!! Some of these dealers really are taking the p***. Geoff. October 25, 2011 at 7:32 pm #10042 PaulAMember check out the ebay shop October 25, 2011 at 8:52 pm #10044 Trevor HughesKeymaster Geoff Looking at this bike I notice the frame plate is missing and it has an RC generator cover. Has it been refurbished at some time? October 26, 2011 at 8:10 am #10046 GeoffHMember Trev. hi not by me i gave it a check over and if you remember rode it over to the agm[not] near banbury. The bike had the engine rebuilt by the previous owner who was in the club and came from lincs. Geoff. If so it has had a lot of money spent on the restoration. As can be seen here: http://www.motorcyclerestorationcompany.com/photo-gallery/recent-restorations/ The quality of work is excellent however the Blue over the seat tail and the White inside to the fairing are not standard. January 1, 2012 at 11:16 pm #10103 DanielBMember Good photographs Trev. Looks like a very thorough job, but when you know how the paint should look it is a shame it hasn’t been sprayed correctly! Dan January 7, 2012 at 11:19 am #10115 DanielBMember That same bike has made MCN this week, also listed on their website as ‘bike of the day’ http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikes-for-sale/searchresults/detail/Honda/CB1100R/1983/_/R-NXGN-7570182 Dan January 7, 2012 at 10:07 pm #10116 Trevor HughesKeymaster While this bike clearly has a very good restoration it seems bizarre why when selling the bike you would use a picture with the Headlight surround missing. January 8, 2012 at 11:19 am #10119 PaulAMember is it possible to be both original and fully restored ?surely if its been fully restored then it isnt original January 8, 2012 at 12:46 pm #10120 GrahamRMember + 1 on Paul’s comment. January 8, 2012 at 5:55 pm #10121 Trevor HughesKeymaster Maybe he means that it is restored to original! Oh but that’s not the case is it? It also states 1 of 9 on DVLA? We had more than 9 RC’s at Mallory last year. January 8, 2012 at 7:25 pm #10122 DanielBMember For some reason the DVLA information is not accurate, see this website http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/honda_cb1100rc At a guess it could be when bikes have been imported and not registered correctly, or, new bikes were registered just as CB1100 in error… Anyway it should do the values of RC’s a favour so I’m not complaining!
