Was in Fredrikstad on Wednesday only 30km from Halden where the meet is.
took these pics at the Roald Amundsen museum, for those going it’s about 30km from the event so might be a good ride out?.
Also fredrikstad is a really nice town on the coast, with some great restaurants , lovely old town, a small fort etc, well worth a visit.

Looking forward to the meeting. Will be great to ride in your part of the world Stephen. I think we arrive by ferry in Gothenburg around 08:00 on the Friday morning. Any advice on a good route up to Halden?

I live near to Malmo 300km south of Gothenburg and normally fly to Norway. However Gothenburg I think is only about 200km from halden which is on the Norway/Sweden border.
but if the weather is good the scenery is brilliant and you will enjoy.
Beer in Norway can be a bit pricey, but the scenery a makes it worth it!

Yes, only a short journey once off the ferry. Really looking forward to our week in Scandinavia.

Changed the oil, adjusted the chain and fitted the luggage. Can’t wait for a week in Norway.

From Immingham Stephen. It’s a freight service that takes a limited amount of passengers at short notice. Not possible to book months in advance.

Well, 4 intrepid Brits have just returned from a fabulous event and an inspiring weeks travel in what must be one of the most beautiful and amazing countries in the world. Norway was a buzz.
Ever driven into a mountain via a tunnel and then 7km along that tunnel come across a roundabout inside that mountain with four more tunnels going off from that roundabout? No, I hadn’t either before this trip. A road network inside a mountain, just bonkers, but incredible engineering. It’s what these Norwegians do. I take my helmet off to them.

We met old friend, made new ones, paraded round a race track, met a famous Swedish racing legend, witnessed jaw dropping scenery, rode challenging and beautiful roads, enjoyed snow in the sun, crossed Fjords on ferries, stayed in some great accommodation, ate well, drank little (good for the liver). The list goes on.

One of the best weeks I have had for a long time. Bike ran perfectly, 1481miles door to door, most miles in a week that myself and the bike have completed together for a number of years now. To sum it up. We did what life should be about. We had fun.

A few pictures for you to savour the event.
