Hello to all our CB1100r enthusiasts,

If you haven’t received this by email then it will because you have either not registered the interest with me, or we have your name but no email address. Please forward this onto them with a request to for them to send me their email address.

The Isle of Man Steam packet announced their 2014 schedule last evening (early as we were told they would be available at the end of October so we have rushed this quick update out so folk can get their ferries booked). Considerable discounts are available currently if the full fare is paid when booking – Standard fare for Bike & Rider is £209 and offered at £118 today… see http://www.steam-packet.com/

Well our planning is still moving on at a considerable pace – we have managed to secure the same accommodation we used in 2014 at King Williams College – anyone who went to that event will know how good that was – especially the breakfasts J

I have listed the events below that I have interpreted for 2014 from the events held this year – 2013 was such a success that I doubt the format will change significantly. We have been promised a parade/track session at Jurby and I currently enquiring about a CB1100r ‘parade’ lap for the full Mountain Circuit..!!

The costs are still being worked out but will be approximately £210 per person for 7 nights B&B, Gala Dinner and an event pack (Shirt etc.) Twin & Family rooms will be slightly more expensive, limited in availability and will cost approximately £245 per person for the same 7 nights B&B, Gala Dinner and an event pack. Additional nights before and after the event are also believed to be available if required.

We have also made contact with a hotel close to the College who have a limited number of family rooms available at £70 per room per night http://www.seftonexpress.co.im/ this special rate is not generally available so please contact me for details of how to book this deal. We have also found a place that provides chalet accommodation but these are at the far end of Douglas some way from rest of the group at King Williams College details are here
http://www.groudlecottages.com 2 person bungalow £110 per night, 4 person bungalow £110 per night, 6 person bungalow £115/135 per night.

Please note that anyone exploring this option will also have to add an additional £70 per person to cover the Meeting Gala Dinner and event pack.

The event is budgeted to ‘break even’ i.e. it will not try to make a profit and what you pay is what we will spend.

A more professional data sheet is currently being prepared that will contain a booking form and request a £100 none refundable deposit to be paid by the end of the year / early January 2014 with the full balance being due in June 2014.

I have set up a Facebook page for Facebook account holders to keep up to date with information regarding this 2014 – Please visit & Like this page for updates… Facebook/CB1100R

So there you have it – all the information you need to start planning, booking the vacation and days off work and to budget for what we expect to be a terrific week of racing and Classic Biking..!!

Booking forms and details of how/where to pay the deposit, shirt sizes etc. will follow shortly

Hi all – great to see that a few of us will be travelling out on the same ferry(s)

Just a reminder to anyone else comin g that the Friday & saturday ferry’s get booked up for the MGP almost as quick as the IOM TT races in June – so do not delay – Our club has no strings to pull and the advance deposit bookings we made for 2004 are not available for the MGP crossings.

In a nut shell – if you’re coming you need to book a Ferry NOW….!

    Cheers.. Glenn

Just a quick note to say that all the people who have registered an interest in attending the IOm 2014 International Meeting should by now have received the application forms with details on the event plus details on deposit payment.

IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD A PDF FORM THEN EITHER WE DO NOT HAVE A VALID EMAIL FOR YOU OR WE DO NOT HAVE YOU REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT.

In either case please get in touch with either me or Andy Larkin ASAP as places are limited and deposits are now being accepted.

Be there or be ‘square’ – Thiss looks like being a great event for both the CB1100R and the Clsssic TT.

    Cheers.. Glenn

just a bit of info for people wanting to attend next year and looking for alternative places to stay, there has been a major fire in the accomodation wing of one of the largest hotels on the island, this therefore wont be available next year so people will be looking elsewhere. Its a small island people make your plans sooner rather than later
